How This Academy Helped Me Stop Overthinking and Start Building
Have you ever felt deep down (in your soul) that you were made for something more? That God placed you here for a reason… but fear has kept you frozen in place?
You’re not alone… and you’re definitely not crazy for asking, “How do I even start?
Or How to find your purpose in life? Those questions can feel overwhelming when you’re stuck.
Have you ever Googled “finding your purpose quotes”? I know I have! And this one is one of my favorites… it lines up perfectly with what I believe God created us to do:
“The purpose of life is not to be happy… but to matter, to be productive, to be useful, to have it make some difference that you lived at all.” ~ Leo Rosten

Do you feel the power in that? That’s why I keep a folder of “purpose in life quotes” to revisit when I need a reminder… especially during hard seasons.
But I’ll be honest… when my vibe is at its lowest, pretty words don’t always help. Sometimes, I need something deeper… something real. That’s when I turn to my faith… and ask God to show me the next step, even if I can’t see the full picture.
Meant for More…
If you’ve ever felt like you were meant for more… but just couldn’t figure out how to get started… this is for you. 💛
Maybe you feel unworthy. Like you’re not good enough. Or you’re afraid of making a mistake and embarrassing yourself. Maybe you don’t know what you’re doing. Or you’re afraid you’ll look silly if you try. OR a big one… you don’t feel like you have anything to offer.
There are so many reasons we stay stuck. But I want you to know: you’re not alone.
For years, I struggled with overthinking everything. I’d second-guess my niche, stress about not having everything perfect, and constantly delay starting because I felt like I had to have it all figured out first.
I had big dreams, a heart to help people, and a message I knew I was supposed to share… but fear (and perfectionism) kept holding me back.

I kept telling myself, “I’ll start when I feel ready.” But the truth is, I was never going to feel ready.
Days turned into weeks, weeks into years, and I stayed in the same place… knowing in my heart that I was meant for more but too afraid to step into it.
Then one day, it hit me: “If I don’t take action, I’m gonna look back on my life with regret.”
Regret that I wasted the time God gave me. Regret that I let fear stop me from stepping into the purpose He placed on my heart.
And I decided… I don’t want to live that way anymore.
1. Fear Will Steal Your Purpose… If You Let It
Fear of change is sneaky.
It tells you that you’re not talented enough, that someone else can do it better, that you’ll never be enough.
But fear is a liar.
God doesn’t call the qualified… He qualifies the called.
If He put a dream in your heart, it’s because He already gave you everything you need to take the first step.
He’s the one who put that desire IN you when you were created.
Did you know that?
You don’t have to see the whole path… you just have to take the next step.
2. You Don’t Have to Be Perfect… You Just Have to Start
One of the biggest lies we tell ourselves is that we need everything figured out first. That’s just not true.
I tend toward perfectionism, and I still struggle with wanting every “i” dotted and every “t” crossed before taking action.
I have to remind myself every day: Do the thing imperfectly. Be stronger than your excuses.
Nobody starts as an expert. Nobody starts with all the answers. The only way to grow into your calling is by stepping into it… imperfectly.
If you wait until you feel “ready,” you’ll wait forever. But if you start now, you’ll be amazed at what God can do through you.
He loves to use imperfect people who stumble their way through His plan. That’s when His strength shines through.
3. Taking Action: What’s Your First Step?
To be honest, the future is video.
Whether you want to teach, encourage, or inspire… video is one of the fastest ways to connect.
For me, that first step was getting in front of the camera.
And I’ll be real with you…
I was terrified.
I didn’t feel good enough, smart enough, or ready.
But I took one baby step: I showed up.
And that’s when everything started to shift.
If you’re looking for how to start over in life or even just how to improve your life, I have something that might help you like it helped me.
