My Story, Yes Christians Get Discouraged…
Some mornings I wake up strong. Other days I wake up tired before my feet hit the floor. Life is messy and christians get discouraged too. I have felt it in my bones… the quiet ache, the long prayers, the questions I am afraid to say out loud.
On those days I go back to simple practices… breathe, pray, read one verse, and tell God the truth about how I feel.
Discouragement sneaks in when plans break, when people hurt, when the wait feels too long. We lose focus, and fear starts talking louder than faith. We need gentle help, not a lecture.
When Your Mind Races
When your mind races, sleep is thin and peace feels far. You hunt for a bible verse for stressful times and a bible verse about worrying, but your brain still spins. You feel the weight of hard headlines and heavy family moments.

God Is Not Far
Start small. Speak one short prayer. Read one verse. Take one step. God is not far. He is close to the brokenhearted, and He listens when you whisper.
What Helped Me This Week
- I wrote one line in a prayer journal… “Lord, hold my heart steady today.”
- I read a few short bible verses out loud, slowly.
- I put a sticky note on my mirror with two truths… “I am not alone” and “God is working while I wait.”
- I let one friend know I needed encouragement.
